Is there treatment?

Doctors prescribe a number of different medicines that help to keep people from having the emotional and movement problems.

  For people with Huntingtons, an active life is very important because people with HD who keep a high fitness level tend to do better with the disease than people who don't.

  Most drugs that are used to help with it have side effects like fatigue, restlessness, and hyperexcitability.

PROGNOSIS:

There is no way to reverse the course of HD or to stop it in its tracks. Now investigators are looking more into the disease because they are trying to understand how it causes disease in the human body.
